According to Oswald (2014), Nusalala camposina Navás, 1929 was 'treated by Monserrat as a nomen dubium and likely junior synonym of Nusalala erecta. Type material apparently lost. A neotype designation is needed to fix the interpretation of this name.' Oswald lists it as a valid species, but as a nomen dubium
