Paranymphon: Comments
Comment:
Munilla & Soler-Membrives (2014:263) treat Paranymphon as masculine gender, since they consider the species name 'Paranymphon spinosum' to be an incorrect original spelling, and use P. spinosus for the valid species. This appears to be based on ICZN Article 30.1.1, since it ends in the Latin word nymphon, which is masculine gender. Thus the genus must be treated as masculine under the ICNZ
Comment:
See comment on the genus Nymphon. That genus and all genera ending -nymphon must be treated as masculine. All the species group names therein should be assessed, and all adjectival epithets rendered in masculine form
