This family has not yet been assigned to an order; the descriptions of six new species recently discovered in (and to date considered endemic to) Europe, were published by E. Martínez-Ansemil, M. Creuzé des Châtelliers, P. Martin, and B. Sambugar (2012), but their paper did not present an alignment of this family with an established order within the Clitellata
