Allen, 1940; Corbet, 1978c; Ellerman, 1941; Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951; Gromov and Erbajeva, 1995; Wang, 2003; Zhang et al., 1997), but regarded as distinct by others (Musser and Carleton, 1993; Pavlinov and Rossolimo, 1987, 1998; Pavlinov et al., 1995a). Separation of campbelli is supported by chromosomal differences (Safronova et al., 1992)
