Comments: Described from a single juvenile collected in 'dense viny roadside secondary brush on an abandoned logging road' in what was primary lowland dipterocarp forest, which still persists 'within 600 m and is the dominant vegetation type of the entire surrounding region' (Emmons, 1993b:753). Member of a group of murines endemic to Borneo (see account of Chiropodomys major)
