Polythrix asine: Comments
Comment:
Concerning North American records that are referrable to another species, Pelham (2008:427) notes of Polythrix asine (Hewitson, 1867), "This species was erroneously reported from the U.S. based on an unjustifiable assumption of conspecificity with Polythrix mexicanus H. A. Freeman, 1969, by Scott (1986); see H. Freeman (1969) and Austin and A. Warren (2002)"
