Comment:
Noted by McDiarmid et al. (1999) as a secondary junior homonym of Boa madagascariensis (Duméril and Bibron, 1844). "When Kluge (1991:48) placed Acrantophis madagascariensis (Duméril and Bibron, 1844) and S. madagascariensis (Duméril and Bibron, 1844) into the genus Boa, a problem of homonymy resulted. He proposed manditra as a replacement name for this species in order to resolve the nomenclatural issue"
