Scheloribates heterodactylus (Mahunka, 1988) is a junior secondary homonym of Scheloribates heterodactylus Pletzen, 1963, but since the two are not currently considered congeneric (the senior name is in Topobates), the junior name is to be retained, and the unnecessary replacement name (Scheloribates mahunkai Subías, 2010) is treated as a junior synonym (ICZN Arts. 59.2, 59.4)
