Pseudothalycra Howden, 1961 has variously been treated as a valid genus, a synonym (sometimes tentatively) of Thalycra Erichson, 1843, or as a subgenus thereof. See the publications here cited, as it does not appear to have been conclusively settled. Additionally, although the combination Thalycra knulli (Howden, 1961) is clearly implied in some of these works, it does not appear to have been used in print as of this time (late 2011). ITIS is listing this with lowered credibility rating until matters are clarified
