Comments: Described as a subspecies of griseoflavus and early recognized at that rank (Cabrera, 1961; Ellerman, 1941; Gyldenstolpe, 1932); later merged as a full synonym of Phyllotis g. griseoflavus by Hershkovitz (1962).
