This impressive, large evergreen succulent, known as agave, can grow rapidly to heights of 8 to 10 feet, with a similar width. Over time, it produces a striking, tall candelabra-like flower spike that can reach heights of 20 to 40 feet, adorned with small yellow blooms that attract a variety of pollinators, including birds, hummingbirds, and bees. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil, demonstrating resilience in poor soil conditions and drought. The plant also generates offsets at its base, which can be easily separated for propagation.
