Phonetic Spelling:ho-ma-loh-SOR-us PIK-no-kar-pus

Genus:Homalosorus

Species:pycnocarpos

Family:Aspleniaceae

Glade Fern is a graceful plant known for its glossy leaves. It propagates through creeping rhizomes and thrives in consistently moist, well-drained soil, ideally in areas that receive partial to full shade. In conditions of low moisture, the fronds may turn brown. Over time, it can develop into large, dense colonies.

Unlike flowering plants, ferns reproduce via spores that are produced on specialized fertile leaves.

There are no significant issues associated with this fern.

Preferred Habitat: It flourishes in nutrient-rich, loamy or seepage forests, often found over calcareous sedimentary rocks like limestone or dolostone, as well as mafic metamorphic or igneous formations such as greenstone or amphibolite.
