This variety of Crepe Myrtle, native to Yakushima Island in Japan, resembles a tree and boasts striking white blossoms along with stunning copper-hued bark. It serves as one of the foundational species for the "Indian Tribe" hybrids, which include the widely favored 'Natchez,' developed by the U.S. National Arboretum. Compared to L. indica, this Crepe Myrtle exhibits greater cold tolerance while also withstanding heat.
