Kindred Spirit® Oak is a crossbreed between the Swamp Oak (Q. bicolor) and the Columnar English Oak (Q. robur 'Fastigiata'). This tree features a columnar growth pattern and has been specifically cultivated to resist powdery mildew. Despite being a hybrid, it still yields acorns that serve as a food source for small mammals. You can plant them in large groups to create a tall hedge or use them as standout specimens. Once established, this oak is drought-resistant and can thrive in clay soils and tolerate salt effectively.
