Comments: Placed in goeldii group by Patton (1987). Listed as a subspecies of goeldii in Cabrera (1961:519), but as a distinct species by Anderson (1997) and Patton et al. (2000). Karyotype has 2n=24 and FN=40-42 (Gardner and Emmons, 1984; Patton et al., 2000). Patton et al. (2000) suggested synonyms listed above
