While they may go unnoticed for most of the year, these plants truly shine for a few weeks in May, showcasing their stunning white or pink flowers that bloom in upright clusters.

There is a wide variety of Deutzias, including numerous species and hybrids. They range from small, compact types like the slender deutzia (D. gracilis) to the more impressive showy deutzia (Deutzia x magnifica), which can grow to heights of 8 to 10 feet.
