Genus:Phlox

Species:

Family:Polemoniaceae

Intensia® Phlox are vibrant annuals from Proven Winners that thrive in containers and various planting beds, offering a stunning display of blooms throughout the summer. With a bit of deadheading in August, these plants can extend their flowering season right up until the first frost. They typically grow to about 16 inches in height and width.

For optimal blooming, Intensia® Phlox prefer fertile, well-drained soil that ranges from dry to average moisture levels, along with full sunlight. However, they can also tolerate some afternoon shade or dappled light filtering through trees. To help retain moisture and reduce weed growth, mulching is recommended, and care should be taken to avoid over-watering. These plants are an excellent option for low-water gardens or xeriscapes, as they are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies seeking nectar.

Potential issues include rabbit browsing, which can pose a threat to their growth.
