This tropical evergreen bulb features leaves reminiscent of hostas and emits a pleasant fragrance. It can thrive in containers and prefers a setting with 50% dappled or bright shade. When planting, ensure the tip of the bulb's neck is positioned above the soil surface, placing 4 to 5 bulbs in a 6-inch pot filled with well-draining, consistently moist soil. These bulbs tend to produce the best flowers when they are somewhat root-bound; however, they dislike being disturbed and should only be repotted when absolutely necessary. Additionally, they are sensitive to frost and can suffer damage if temperatures drop below 68 degrees F (20 degrees C).
