Family:Asteraceae

Gaillardia 'Tizzy', a creation of Skagit Gardens, is a hybrid resulting from the crossbreeding of Gaillardia 'Fanfare' and Gaillardia 'Burgunder'. This variety features striking trumpet-shaped petals in a vibrant orange-red hue, exuding a pleasant fragrance and attracting butterflies with its allure.

These plants thrive in full sunlight and prefer rich, moist, well-drained soil. While they are resilient to dry conditions, drought, heat, humidity, and poor soil, they do not fare well in heavy clay. Additionally, they are resistant to both rabbits and deer. To promote additional blooms and prolong the flowering period, it is advisable to deadhead the spent flowers. Gaillardia 'Tizzy' also serves as an excellent cut flower and is versatile enough for use in garden beds and containers.
