Phonetic Spelling:ep-ih-PREM-num AW-ree-um

Genus:Epipremnum

Species:aureum

Family:Araceae

This enduring evergreen houseplant is prized for its shiny, green or variegated leaves that drape elegantly from cascading stems. While it typically reaches a height of 6 to 8 feet as a groundcover, its trailing vines can extend up to 40 feet, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets. Notably, it can thrive in low-light conditions for extended periods.

'Golden Pothos' thrives best in medium light—bright but indirect sunlight. Nevertheless, it can endure low-light environments for long durations. This plant flourishes in moderate humidity, so it's beneficial to mist the leaves regularly and keep the soil consistently moist. To maintain its health, occasionally wipe the leaves to remove dust buildup. Fortunately, it does not face significant issues with pests or diseases.

This species can be differentiated from Philodendron scandens by the lack of noticeable free stipules on new growth and the presence of grooved petioles.
